Would you like to work in a Trust rated outstanding from CQC?If you answered yes, we would love to hear from you – come and join our team.An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised individual to join the Neurorehabilitation Admin Team as an Administration Officer to Ward 1, Walkergate Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills, as well as a working knowledge of office procedures including IT skills.You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet this criteria you may not be shortlisted.SkillsThe successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in a patient focused work environment, preferably in mental health services, and have the following core skills which are essential to the postWard 1 is a 15-bed neurorehabilitation ward providing highly specialised and integrated multi-disciplinary rehabilitation for adults following an acquired brain injury or other neurological disease/illness.
  • Experience in a customer/patient and service user focused environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of the RiO system.
  • Demonstrate a high level of typing, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and proven IT skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed, motivated and contribute positively to the ward team overall.
  • Reliable note taking skills.
  • Well organised and structured.
  • Should be flexible and open to taking on additional tasks as they are identified.
  • Be able to work as a team and together with colleagues provide a robust admin service for all inpatient wards at Walkergate Park.
The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs and updating rotas and duty sheets. This list is not exhaustive.
