Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) is the lead body for supporting, developing and promoting the voluntary and community sector in the Rotherham Borough. Our role is to support and develop effective action to bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities in the local area.

We are looking to recruit the following post: Admin Support Officer

£18,967 per annum (full-time equivalent)

30 hours per week (requests for flexible working patterns and/or job shares will be considered)

Some evening and weekend work may be necessary to carry out the duties of this post

As Admin Support Officer for the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) Consortium and Reception, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Consortium and Board and other relevant sub-committees, organising meetings and events and taking minutes and preparing reports as required. You will also be responsible for providing financial administration support, including funding bids, ensuring financial information is collated and prepared and financial transactions are entered on to the accounting software. This role will also support the wider team through providing reception cover on a regular basis.

As well as being able to undertake the different duties required, the successful candidate must be able to work enthusiastically within a team or individually as required. The ability to prioritise and manage workload whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to urgent requests will be a key requisite of the successful candidate.
