RG Consultancy are working a manufacturing client based in Halifax who are looking for a Finance Manager to join the company on a full-time permanent basis, this is a growing medium turnover company who are looking for someone to continue to support and drive the business forward. This role will be managing a finance team of 5 who includes ledger clerk, management accountant, accounts assistant, credit controller and a junior accounts clerk. This role reports to the Finance Director.   • Manage and support the finance team
  • Monthly and financial accounts
  • Monthly financial reporting to improve profitability
  • Budgets and forecasting
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Cash flow management (some multi-currency)
  • VAT returns
  • Monthly board meetings to discuss budgets/processes etc
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Profit and Loss
  • Costing management
  • Fixed asset register
  • Staff management to ensure the finance department Is covered during core business hours
  • Introduce change to work processes
  • Provide risk management
  • Production of annual statutory accounts Ideal candidate:
  • Part or fully Qualified as an ACA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Minimum of Advanced IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
  • Leadership (high social competencies, able to motivate and effectively drive people)
