Our clients are unable to offer sponsorship.Our client is a 6-year-old girl who lives with her wonderful and dedicated family. Like many girls of her age, E loves swimming, dancing, baking, and Disney Princesses! She has cerebral palsy which can cause some challenges with her mobility. E is hugely motivated, she doesn’t let her condition hold her back, she has tons of zest and puts in extra effort to do activities such as walking, running, and drawing.The Role/Client
  • E is looking for a Support Worker with a positive outlook on life, someone who can provide her with a rich and stimulating environment as well as match her passion for life and fun!
  • The role will involve supporting E with her personal care, washing, and dressing, as well as assisting her with homework, meal preparation, facilitating hobbies/clubs, play, and any rehabilitation support as directed by the MDT.
  • Full training in all aspects of our client’s support will be given and you will be supported by her Case Manager.
About You
  • You will provide a supportive, engaging, and child-centered approach to our client by following her Care plan and helping her achieve her educational, developmental, and rehabilitation goals, whilst helping her gain confidence along the way. It is for this reason that you will be required to have professional child care or educational experience in supporting young children– this could be as a nanny, in a primary school, nursery, or playgroup, or as a childminder.
  • It is desirable that you have knowledge and experience in caring for children with cerebral palsy/additional needs, however, this is not essential. Please do apply even if you do not have experience in this area as full training will be provided.
  • You will be kind, positive, reliable, and able to build a relationship of trust with our client and family.
  • You will enjoy taking the client out on activities and for this reason, you would need to be a driver with your own vehicle, who holds a full UK driving license.
Pay
  • £16 per hour on weekdays
  • £17 per hour Weekends & Bank Holidays
Hours / Shifts Available
  • An average of 25.5 hours per week – please do apply even if you are unable to work the exact hours listed below as there may be some flexibility.
  • Term Time – Tues, Weds, Thurs 14:00 to 19:00
  • School holidays - Tues, Weds, Thurs 08:00 to 19:00
Throughout the year – 6 hours to be worked flexibly at the weekend – times to be mutually agreed.
