My client is looking for an Assistant Accountant in the Halifax area. They are one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and distributors within their sector and are also growing as a brand internationally making it the perfect time to join the business. With multiple sites worldwide this is a large company with an annual turnover of over £50m.

Key Responsibilities And Duties
  • Detailed analysis of sales and gross profits on a weekly/monthly basis by site
  • Liaise with both internal and external departments to produce additional KPI’s
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts across all companies with particular attention on intergroup transfers
  • Production of group quarterly VAT returns
  • Maintain and review with the Financial controller weekly cash flow projections and provide assistance in maintaining multi-currency bank accounts

Skills & Relevant Experience
  • CIMA or ACCA part qualified, or AAT qualified
  • Have previous experience of working within a group structure or multi-site accounting
  • Have good analytical skills with a good knowledge of Excel
  • A good communicator with all levels of business personnel
This role is based around a 37.5 hours per week working 9 until 5 from Monday to Friday with the occasional additional hours to meet targets at busy times and possible cover for holidays.
