Job description
Take advantage of our £500 new start bonus and apply today.

Do you have a passion to work with children and young people with a disability/and or autism or relevant experience in a similar sector or work environment?

About Aberlour Options Fife Residential Glenrothes and Housing Support**
At Aberlour we listen to our young people to understand what they need. As such, our new services in Glenrothes support young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.

Options Fife - Housing Support is home to 2 young people aged 16 plus who have their own individual flats. Working patterns will include days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Our rota has been drafted with the needs of the young people at heart, working longer shifts to keep consistency each day for our young people but then allowing a run days off.

Options Fife - Residential Glenrothes is home to 3 young people aged 16 plus living together. Again working patterns include days, nights, weekends and public holidays, but we operate shorter shifts of 7.5 hours per day although this may change to suit the needs of the young people.

What we are looking for....
As a Young People’s Worker, you will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care; supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.

We have full time vacancies (37.5 hours per week). Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, with an understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. As a registered post you will require a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 but we can help you obtain this. You will be asked to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.
