FACTORY YARD OPERATIVES

Pay Rate - £11.17 per hour (+ £4.00 shift allowance p/h for night shift)

Sunday-Thursday - 18.00-02.20

We manufacture a wide range of high-quality fresh prepared food. Which means, our production lines are non-stop. you’ll be right at the heart of our fast-paced, high-pressured environment, helping us to consistently manufacture and deliver to top supermarkets across the UK.

Typical duties / responsibilities include: (**This role involves working outside**)

To remove and segregate waste to achieve maximum recycling and minimise waste disposal, whilst keeping the yard clear and tidy

Prepare and operate Fork Lift Truck (FLT), carrying out safety checks in line with procedure.

Prepare area ensuring that the equipment is set up correctly, carrying out safety checks in line with procedures.

Load sacks, plastic and cardboard into equipment to the correct fill level, accurately record the information and apply label. Ensure the bale is safe and secure in line with procedure and transfer to storage area following safety standards at all times.

Load/unload pallets from/onto vehicle and transfer to the correct storage area ensuring yard area is kept clear and all items stored in correct locations

To carry out duties in other areas at the same grade or below, for which instruction or training has been provided

About you:

To be considered for the role, you must have had previous manufacturing experience in a similar environment.

If so, we’re looking for people with drive, motivation, and ambition, rather than any particular qualifications or experience. Willing to learn about Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, you’ll need to be comfortable wearing PPE. You should also be hard-working, with a keen eye for detail and a basic understanding of English and Maths.
