We are currently recruiting for an WIP Lead to work in our busy Logistics Team. This is a full time, permanent position working 4 on 4 off days (6.00am to 6.00pm) with a salary of approximately £26,000 per annum.

Main Purpose of Job:
  • To supervise the WIP Operations area to meet the needs of the business
  • Contribute to the Logistics Department in all aspects of Operational efficiencies, Staff Management, the Logistics WIP area of operations as required to meet the needs of the business
  • Contribute to the Logistics Department as a whole in all aspects of Operational efficiencies and staff management
  • Liaise with: Logistics Stock Control, Logistics Night Shift Team, Frozen Team and Production Teams
  • Supervising WIP area where applicable
  • Subordinates: Responsible for staff allocated to the WIP area

Responsibilities:
  • To ensure completion of required picking, staging and ensuring raw material is sent to production in the correct format
  • To monitor and control “Defrost” activities onsite
  • Ensure compliance with stock movements requirements specifically with regards to scanning and location
  • Health and Safety of employees under your direction
  • Ensure required training and development of staff is fulfilled
  • To liaise with the wider management team and department effectively and timely
  • To ensure compliance with stock movement requirements to maintain the operating system
  • To carry out regular stock checks
  • To ensure the smooth integration of product into Warehouse from both internal and external suppliers
  • Ensure company discipline procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Analyse and improve staff turnover
  • Manage staffing levels on shift

Dimensions & Limits of Authority:
  • Responsible for Logistics area relevant to role (WIP Operations)
  • Communicate to the Intakes Fresh Supervisor and Intakes Manager any issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor and react to a changing environment, ensuring any raw material requirements are met where required for production along with picking and loading issues.
  • Stock management via site SI system
    • Food Hygiene/Health and Safety/HACCP
    • Previous supervisory experience within a similar environment
    • Computer Literacy and numeracy skills essential as well as good organisational skills
    • Experience of site systems
