Our Merthyr site Logistics Department are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly, passionate team.

The position is working full time - Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm on a permanent basis with a salary of between £21,000 and £22,000 per annum depending on experience.

Role Purpose:

Working as part of the Shipping Office administration team in the factory, undertaking all duties as directed by the Shipping Office Manager. The role involves you being an integral part of the team. The role requires you to take responsibility for your work, ensuring accurate of recording and sharing information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing export paperwork to support Export Controller
  • Booking in and confirming incoming deliveries
  • De-Hiring crates
  • Recording all outgoing despatches
  • Recording frozen team control document
  • Inputting and sharing KPI’s
  • Setting up orders to customers on internal system
  • Sharing reports returns reports
  • Sharing daily reports with Intakes team
  • Monitoring all customer returns liaising with Finance, Transport and Intakes teams
  • Setting up daily transfers to external cold store
  • Monitoring egg shell movements and communicating with external supplier and internal parties
  • Liaise with Frozen team to capture week Coldstore transport requirement
  • Carrying out export paperwork when required
  • Health & Safety – act in a responsible manner following all safety regulations; safe work practices, SOP’s and never risking one’s own safety

Requirements

Skills / Experience:

Good organisational and time-management skills

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Previous Admin experience desirable

Good attention to detail

Flexibility is an important part of the role

Positive and proactive approach to tasks

Working well within a team and also unsupervised
