Job Description

Welcome Host Executive at Grantley Hall

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Welcome Host Executive to ensure all guests and visitors receive a warm and friendly, 5* welcome when arriving at Grantley Hall and that this information is communicated to the main Hall ensuring this welcome follows through to their arrival at the Hall.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist and welcome all visitors and guests at the gates in a 5* manner as they arrive at Grantley Hall at the Gate House as per the standard operating procedure.
  • To liaise with Reception and Hotel Porter team to inform them of when guests are arriving by clear communication.
  • During crossover shifts to support the Front Office operation in greeting guests at the Hall. Additionally, assisting with parking vehicles, moving luggage and show arounds.
  • To assist with any other duties as required to support the business demands.
  • To follow shift procedures and duties as set out by the Rooms Division and Front Office Managers.
  • To ensure that the there is a presence at the Gate House at required times and that breaks are managed with the businesses needs in mind.
  • Basic monitoring of the security system, escalating any concerns to Rooms Division, Front Office or Duty Managers.
  • To ensure that all training relevant to the role is completed in a timely manner, including E-Learning and other training sessions.
  • To ensure all equipment functions correctly and report faults immediately.
  • To attend training courses and meetings as required.
  • To be flexible in one’s duty and to carry out additional tasks when requested and when the business demands. To complete any projects assigned by Senior Management.
  • To ensure the company’s Health & Safety policy and fire procedures are adhered to at all times, making staff aware of their responsibilities.
  • To know and live Grantley Hall’s values every day without compromise.
  • Any other duties, deemed necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in a similar position, within the 5* Hospitality Industry in desirable, however full training will be given.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate, however training will also be given on this.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Well presented, adhering to Grantley Hall’s grooming standards at all times.
  • Full clean driving license and over the age of 25 due to our insurance policies is desirable.
  • Use of own initiative with willingness to go above and beyond in supporting the wider Grantley Hall team.
