We are now looking for a Web Content Officer to join the Technology Enhanced Learning department at either our Swansea or Carmarthen campus on a full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -

As a Web Content Officer, you will provide support to the Web Team and ensure a responsive and professional central web development service.

Reporting to the Web Services Manager, you will support the Web Team with content upload and design, website governance, user experience and functionality. You will provide support, advice and guidance to web contributors and check the quality of web pages before approving and/or publishing website changes.

Liaising with University stakeholders in academic and professional services departments, you will ensure the web service we deliver is fast, responsive and effective. You will also provide bespoke guidance in the application of web technologies for marketing, communications and learning and teaching.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Web Content Officer, you will need:

  • Previous experience in the area of Web Content Management or Web Development
  • Previous experience of using a Content Management System (CMS)
  • The ability to systematically create, review and test web assets, applying an eye for detail to identify content and technical issues and to resolve or escalate as appropriate
  • A basic Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation
  • Knowledge of Web Accessibility
  • A good general level of education

Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite would be desirable.
