Your Main Duties/responsibilities Will Include
  • Receipt and recording of various waste including (but not limited to): Trade Industrial Waste, waste electrical and electronic equipment, scrap wood and metal, tyres, waste oils, fuels and lubricants.
  • Handling various waste streams, including hazardous waste which PPE will be provided
  • Assisting users and policing of waste into the correct waste streams.
  • Adhering to the process of receipt and documentation of all hazardous waste streams.
  • Assisting the Waste Supervisor with checks and documentation on hazardous waste preparing for and loading transport for disposal.
  • In the absence of the Waste Supervisor communicate with external contractors and maintain the paperwork trail
  • Escorting contractors around site for waste management duties
  • Promoting the minimising of waste and resource efficiency through recycling and upcycling initiatives
  • Participating/completing in other ADHOC tasks when requested as appropriate to the grade, experience and training.
The successful candidate will be supervised by the Waste Supervisor and be expected to be flexible and adaptable to complete a number of diverse activities.
