They have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join their Newstrade team! Our clients team are responsible for delivering world-class service and time critical newspapers & magazines to their ever-growing portfolio of retail customers.

You will work closely with their Operational Team, who will support you to execute a busy Warehouse role. You will be accountable for the safe loading and uploading of stock from our HGV’s into the warehouse, and will be required to support your colleagues to achieve packing, scanning and sorting targets!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assemble customer supplies according to packing specifications
  • Break down, allocate and load inbound magazine supplies
  • Check the quality of packed orders
  • Locate over-stocks, enabling efficient compiling of customer orders
  • Keep the warehouse safe, clean and tidy
  • Adhere to company procedures and policies
  • Unload, load, sort and scan deliveries

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Positive ‘can do’ and hardworking approach to work
  • Appetite for supporting colleagues
  • Physically fit to meet the demands of a warehouse environment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate
  • An ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working to strict deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • A FLT licence would be advantageous but not essential
