Job description

Our client is looking for a Maintenance/Handyperson to join their team in Loughborough!

This permanent role involves working Monday-Friday: 9.00am-5.00pm with a salary of £19,872 per annum.

Maintenance/Handyperson Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of the site facilities in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Plant inspections;
  • Prioritising emergency repairs;
  • Painting and decorating, plumbing, electrical and building works;
  • Managing contractors and escorting of sub-contractors as required; monitoring their standards of work;
  • Working closely with all departments to meet their needs;
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers;
  • Operate in a safe and proper manner using materials and tools designated for the job;
  • Participate in Health & Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers or hazards encountered to the Health Safety Officer;
  • Carry out audits of facilities as required;
  • Ensure the safe custody of keys, fobs and access cards;
  • Grounds maintenance which will include; strimming, grass cutting, hedge cutting;
  • Litter picking, spraying, weeding etc.

Maintenance/Handyperson Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience of planned maintenance
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Plumbing, electrics, carpentry, building works and general maintenance
  • Computer literate
  • Experience using large equipment such as hedge cutters and lawn mowers.

Desirable

  • PA1 and PA6 spraying qualifications
  • Electrical, PAT testing experience
  • Electrical qualifications NVO - C&G
  • Able to read drawings and wiring diagrams
