Warehouse Assistant – Summer Season

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team for the summer season. Working as part of our retail team you will play an essential role in ensuring our fantastic range of shops remain fully stocked for our guests.

What will this role entail?

Reporting to the Retail Assistant Manager, your key duties will include:

  • Picking and delivering stock from stores by driving the company van as required
  • Maintaining electronic records of all stock movements to ensure stock levels are correctly managed
  • Receiving, moving, checking and processing incoming goods
  • Checking and inspecting goods received ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality.
  • Loading and unloading lorries of vans
  • Labelling goods that have arrived at the warehouse
  • Co-ordinating dispatch and deliveries with transport companies
  • Carrying out regular stock checks to ensure that adequate supplies are maintained
  • Maintaining contact with relevant outlets to ensure that stock items and levels are appropriate to their requirements
What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?

  • Excellent numeracy and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically fit and able to lift boxes
  • Good IT and administrative skills and experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience of stock control and a forklift licence is desirable although not essential

You’ll be employed on a fixed term contract for the 7 week summer period, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required.
