About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a part time (18hours a week) Waking Night Project Worker at a supported living service in Wokingham which is home to one service user and staff provide1:1 care. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic people who enjoy helping others and seeing the difference their support can make to enable individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you`ll ensure the safety and well-being of the service user, responding appropriately to their support needs, illness and/or emergencies through the night. As part of the role you will also be responsible for providing personal care, health and safety tasks and carrying out domestic chores such as cleaning, laundry and ironing.

You`ll joina strong, supportive teamwho are great communicators and able to engage with our service user who is nonverbal. As part of the role you will be required to provide personal care and support with eating and drinking. It is a challenging but rewarding role where you can reallybe the differenceto someone`s life.

About You

We are looking for passionate people with a `can-do` attitude who are driven by the desire to make a difference and who have the ability to recognise the wishes and needs of vulnerable adults. Desired qualities will include:

  • Effective communicator using different methods according to the complex needs of those in your care.
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work night shifts (10pm - 7am) as part of a rota system, including some weekend and bank holiday working
  • Teamwork and flexibility are key to the success of the services we provide, as is a clear commitment to equality and diversity
