ApplyAsk a questionSave opportunityOur volunteer Trustees are responsible for setting the overall strategic direction and development of the charity, for governance and financial controls and for establishing an effective fundraising strategy.What will you be doing?Being a Trustee is a rewarding role and offers the opportunity to contribute to your local community.Torridge, North, Mid & West Devon Citizens Advice covers almost 50% of Devon and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds who can bring different skills, experience and perspectives to strengthen our Board. In particular, we are keen to hear from people with legal, fundraising or Marketing/PR experience.We meet as a Board four times per year (including the AGM) at different locations – so some travel is involved. . Trustees also lead projects and do work outside of Board meetings. Trustees are supported with an induction programme.The Citizens Advice service is committed to valuing diversity and promoting equality. We encourage and welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, disability, gender and sexual orientation.What are we looking for?We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals with proven experience in leadership, strategic development and planning. We are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to become actively involved in the governance of a major advice charity for the benefit of their local community.What difference will you make?TNM&W Devon Citizens Advice helped 13,822 clients in the year 2021/22 with 30,501 issues with a total income gain for our clients of £7.6 million.
