To assist the Shop Manager & Deputy Manager to achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity. The post-holder will have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach. You will have good communication skills with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to all shop users. You will show a commitment to the aims of CDCH and possess a willingness and ability to learn and follow direction. This job has physically active elements. Volunteers are required to maintain a suitable level of fitness to enable them to perform their role effectively. Duties may involve:
  • Assist with achieving agreed sales targets and maximise profit.
  • Assist in maintaining a high standard of merchandising
  • Minimise stock loss
  • Actively promote gift aid to all customers
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Ensure the safe and secure handling of any monies processed through the till
  • Contribute to high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the shop premises
  • Contribute to the shop meeting standards required by Health & Safety, DDA, Trading Standards and Fire Regulations legislation
  • Inform the Retail or Deputy shop manager of any repairs/renovations which may be needed We are especially looking for people happy to use the till
