Job Description

1-2-1 tutor required to deliver home based tuition for a male student who with complex learning needs. This role requires a tutor who is comfortable working in the home environment and has experience teaching / supporting young adults with Autism. As a tutor for this young person, you will be delivering tailored sessions focused on numeracy, literacy wellbeing, and developing life skills & independence. This role requires a QTS or QTLS qualified teacher or experienced Special Needs tutor who has previous experience teaching individuals aged 16 – 20 with complex learning needs.

This is a long-term opportunity as this student requires consistency and does not adapt well to change. The student is eager to learn and relies on PECS or VOCA for communication. It is essential for this tutor to have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
Job Role:
    Teaching life skills and supporting the development of mine motor skills
    Tailoring tutoring sessions to suit needs of the individual
    Promoting independence and a love for learning
    Having an excellent understanding of Autism and related needs
