DescriptionThe job itself
An increased workload has provided an opportunity to join our very successful and busy Passenger Operations team providing a first class service to the East Riding Community .
Transport services are controlled from our Beverley depot meeting the needs of passengers –either the transportation of children to and from various schools or the transportation of vulnerable adults to and from various council run establishments.
This operation runs smoothly and effectively on a day to day basis as we have an excellent team of Drivers and Passenger Assistants who commit to ensuring the safety and well being at all times of passengers in their care.
We are now seeking a Transport Co-ordinator who will provide a vital link between the operational staff out in the field and the depot office and fully support the operation and passenger service staff by:--
Ensuring the operational staff are fully trained, prepared and briefed on the day’s run
Ensuring compliance checks have been carried out on the vehicles
Dealing with any change in circumstance/problems/issues that may arise
Collating all paperwork and processing timesheets and tachograph information
The administration and management of all requests for equipment/holidays/absences
We now need someone who:-
- will uphold the values of our Passenger Services
- ensure the smooth running of the operation
- is an excellent communicator at all levels
- can respond quickly and effectively to solve any problem
- can demonstrate previous extensive usage of excellent people skills
- has administration experience
Occasionally, in emergency situations , we rely on the Transport Co-ordinator to drive a minibus to ensure delivery of the service . For this, a driving licence with a D1 category included is essential.
A full enhanced DBS with children and adults will be required
We are offering the opportunity to be an integral part of a close working team to support delivery of a critical passenger service to a wide range of passengers and welcome applications from people who have the commitment, enthusiasm, resilience, problem solving, flexibility and relationship building skills all of which are needed.
