Koch Technology Solutions (KTS) is a technology development and licensing business within KOCH Industries.

This role is part of the business transformation team. The team’s focus is working to ensure we develop ideas into defined experiments that can be tested and implemented in the business. This could be in the form of new product development or advancement of business processes.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovation and experimentation. This role will provide the opportunity to further your understanding of Agile Delivery, Lean Manufacturing and Human Centred Design and how these concepts can advance business transformation / organisational change.

What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Ensuring the backlog of ideas are healthy, partnering with business sponsors to identify them.
  • Ideas are sufficiently defined to allow prioritisation.
  • Timely development of assigned ideas with key stakeholders engaged, progress reported and shared widely.
  • Facilitating discussions to build out the idea / transformation bet, connecting the organisaton to this in order to drive the required change.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is results orientated, adaptable, eager to learn and try new skills, and also willing to challenge our thinking.
  • University student looking to undertake this placement as part of the year in industry
  • Studying a degree in Business or similar with a focus on areas such as Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management of Change
  • The ability to quickly identify business value and articulate a vision of a better state
  • A can-do mindset with a bias toward driving action
  • Naturally curious and searches for better ways to do things
Koch Technology Solutions are recruiting several placement students within the organisation and will support them in finding local accommodation.

We welcome applications from a wide range of students, including both domestic and international students.

The company is based at the Wilton Centre, a large science and business park ten minutes from Middlesbrough with an on-site restaurant, gym, and landscaped grounds including a lake. Majority of the staff are working on site, and this would be the expectation for the placement students.

Other benefits include 25 days’ paid holiday and flexible working hours.

Salary: £22,000 per annum
