Eta Process Plant designs, provides, and installs complete customized water injection packages, crude oil and condensate stabilizer packages, sour water stripping packages, and skim tank packages with process guarantees (where applicable) for onshore and offshore applications. Contracts Engineer / Project Engineer

Due to the economic growth of our company, we are looking for a Contracts Engineer / Project Engineerto join our organization in Stoke-on-Trent as soon as possible. This role is accountable for the successful delivery on time and on budget of packaged process systems to a range of global customers. This is a key role in our business to meet our aim to become our customers preferred partner for seawater injection systems and mass transfer solutions. You will report to the project engineering manager and be supported by an experienced and professional technical and admin team. Projects generally range in size from $100K to $10M.

What You Will Do

In Your Role

Typical projects comprise one or more coded pressure vessels plus process skids or modules.
  • primary client and supplier contact and project ‘owner’
  • project planning for engineering, quality management, procurement, invoicing, inspection and construction
  • negotiate with suppliers and seek efficiency improvements to meet and exceed project margins
  • flowdown of contractual terms to suppliers – warranties, liabilities, indemnities
The Experience You Will Bring

We seek an experienced candidate able to manage multiple projects in various phases, anticipate and solve problems:
  • Proven ability to apply technical knowledge to business issues
  • Process skids and packages comprising pumps, motors, valves, vessels, piping systems, structures, coatings, E&I for offshore and general process systems
  • Interface with sales team: ensure project execution plans are developed early to ensure forward looking capacities are accurate and timely; help identify and develop customers to become preferred partners
  • Good Grasp on Inco-terms
  • Exposure and experience of Petrochemical Industry standards
  • Exposure and experience with pressure vessel codes
  • Strong computer skills, MS Word, Excel, Project
  • Excellent (written and verbal) skills for effective and concise communication. Including ability to listen to others for meaning and intent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate, develop, influence and work with other individuals and teams in a positive manner
  • Resourceful, flexible and results oriented. Self-driven
Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional or equal professional membership
  • Academic qualifications to the standard of Diploma or Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Qualification in business administration would be an advantage
