Our Community Hospital is in the beautiful Market Town of Stroud in a semi-rural position in the Cotswolds. It has the bonus of good access to the M5 motorway and is also serviced by excellent train links to London, Bristol and the West country.

There are 2 wards at Stroud Hospital; Cashes Green Ward has 22 beds and Jubilee 16 beds. Both are mixed sex, medical inpatient ward specialising in all aspects of sub-acute care, rehabilitation and end of life care. The wards strives to deliver the highest quality individualised care to patients, and their families, from admission right through to discharge.

Applicants should have post registration experience, having worked on a ward. You need to have excellent communication & interpersonal skills with an ability to teach and impart knowledge. I doing so you will be supporting staff in providing a high standards of patient care as well as their personal development.

  • The role involves working alongside nurses on the inpatient wards, in promoting high standards of care, by supporting, training and developing individuals and their teams.
  • Assess, plan, develop and implement a training and development programme for nursing staff on in- patient wards according to individual, organisational and commissioned service delivery strategies.
  • Co-ordinate local induction of all clinical new starters, including nursing, medical and AHPs
  • Support and facilitate all staff to achieve and maintain clinical competencies
  • Identify individual training needs and facilitate the learning required.
  • Maintain an accurate training database for all individual staff.
  • Projection of future training needs analysis.
