The Gloucestershire Perinatal Mental Health Service are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Principal Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) to join our team.

The Perinatal Mental Health Service aspires to provide excellent, perinatal mental health care for women and birthing people, their infants and their families, and to deliver the commitments set out in the NHS Long Term plan.

The service prioritises access and care for women with moderate to severe mental health difficulties who are most in need of specialist, comprehensive, multi-agency coordinated care.

The perinatal mental health team works closely with general adult services, maternity services, primary care and social care services to ensure that the needs of such patients are better understood and met.

The successful candidate will be closely integrated into and meet regularly with the multi-disciplinary team which has expanded significantly over the last 12 months. They will be joining a supportive and engaged Psychology team, MDT and wider service, and will receive regular supervision and CPD as well as informal support.

The successful candidate will be based at Pullman Place in Gloucester and is required to travel regularly across Gloucestershire. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements for this post.
