Trainee Accountant Job Description - Multiple positions available

An exciting opportunity to join one of the most successful pharmaceutical companies in the sector.

Salary dependent on experience

The contracted hours are 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9-6pm

The role:

As the Trainee Accountant, you will be working closely with the Head of Accounts and supporting each team member as and when required. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and take ownership from the beginning. The role is very diverse with a lot of opportunities to grow and expand your skill set. The duties include but are not limited to:

- Preparing management accounts to be reviewed on a monthly basis

- Preparing VAT returns

- Reporting to department heads and directors on Sales forecast

- Supporting with Purchase and Sales ledger

- Preparing Payroll schedule each month

- Daily bank reconciliations

- Preparation for month end and year end reporting

- To assist in the preparation and processing of payment runs to suppliers

- General filing and office adhoc

The ideal applicant will have:

- Experience with working with Sage 200

- Working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified - essential

- Degree in a mathematical background is desirable (will consider AAT qualified)

- Strong experience with management accounts - desirable

- High levels of computer literacy

- Strong Excel skills

- Ability to work to deadlines whilst prioritising workload.

- A self-starter

- Must be able to multi-task.

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- The ability to work in a team as well as individually.

- A go getter, always looking to add value to the role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £25,000.00 per year
