Job Description

The Trainee Accountant will have the following responsibilities:


  • Financial record-keeping: Maintain accurate financial records (transactions, invoices, expenses).
  • Bookkeeping: Enter financial data, reconcile accounts for accuracy.
  • Financial statements: Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements.
  • Audit support: Participate in audits, provide required documentation to auditors.
  • Taxation: Learn about tax regulations, assist in tax compliance, prepare tax returns.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Support budgeting process, analyse financial data for future planning.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Data analysis: Use accounting software to analyse financial data, identify trends, and anomalies.
  • Communication: Collaborate with colleagues and clients for financial information exchange and problem-solving.
  • Professional development: Attend training sessions, take examinations for professional accounting qualifications.
