About Our Client

My client is based on the outskirts of Hailsham / Eastbourne and looking for a Recruitment Assistant to join the team.

Job Description

As the Recruitment Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • To act as a primary contact to deal with initial queries, whether by phone or email, in a prompt, professional manner; referring to others within the HR team as necessary.
  • To lead recruitment campaigns for approved roles within specified business sectors e.g. ensuring internal forms are completed, liaising with managers, placing adverts, setting up interviews and interview schedules, copying application forms, sending regret letters/email/telephoning unsuccessful candidates.
  • Provide a highly professional and positive candidate experience to all applicants, regardless of personal characteristics
  • To prepare offer letters, contracts as requested, whilst ensuring there is appropriate authorisation.
  • To ensure recruiting managers receive regular progress updates on the status of their recruitment campaigns, including the status of employment checks and anticipated start dates.
  • To ensure that all essential checks are completed for new members of staff to a high standard (e.g. Disclosure and Barring Service, health questionnaires, references, proof of eligibility to work in the UK).
  • To ensure that all data entered onto our systems is accurate so that the SCR (Single Central Register) is kept up to date with no gaps in information.
  • To work with the other Recruitment Coordinator to ensure that the Recruitment inbox is checked frequently and queries dealt with promptly.
  • To create personnel files for new employees and ensure that all filing is kept up to date.
  • To work with the HR team on setting up, developing, customising and rolling out a new integrated HR and Payroll database.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in your application for Recruitment Assistant, you should have:

  • Previous experience of working in Recruitment.
  • Working in an exacting, client-focussed environment.
  • Dealing with a range of administrative tasks.
  • Enthusiasm for developing new systems and processes.
  • Using the Microsoft suite of packages with proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
