We are looking for a full-time, office-based Trading Administrator to join our thriving and growing company.

The Company

allmanhall is an independent, family-owned food procurement company, based in the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire, just a few miles outside Bath.

Our mission is to deliver sustainable value for every client, because good food shouldn’t cost the EARTH. We challenge and transform food supply so informed decisions become clear.

Our team is made up of talented, professional, and passionate individuals, who could work anywhere but choose, and are proud to be, a positive part of allmanhall. We develop our team and offer opportunities for long term careers. We have also recently achieved the Investors in People Gold award!

One team member says: "The company encourages and empowers everyone to make a positive difference. The support provided is above and beyond".

Our values - at our core, this is what makes us allmanhall:

  • Assist all clients with queries related to trading, stock taking, menu and recipe information and period closure
  • Aid in the input of stock taking and stock item information into our catering control platforms for clients as agreed
  • Support the Trading & AP Manager and Client Tech Support Manager to ensure all new clients are mobilised on the catering control platforms in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Aid in the delivery of Electronic Data Interface integration and product matching activities on the catering control platforms
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure all late invoices identified are traded in a timely fashion
  • Set up new users on the catering control platforms and manage usernames and passwords
  • Liaise with clients to ensure timely period closure and deal with client queries
  • Maintain a closure register for month end and brief the Finance & Systems Director on a regular basis
  • Work with the Dietitian to assist in any allergen portal set up requirements

The candidate

Essential experience

  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and a real desire to work with and help our clients and suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be solution orientated and have a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills
  • Confident working with data and digital platforms
  • An eagerness to learn and develop a growth mindset!
  • Have GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.

Desirable Experience

  • An interest or previous experience in foodservice
  • Previous experience in a business environment or similar role but not essential! This is an entry level role so, as we say, attitude is key.

The Contract

Full-time, permanent: 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday 08:45 17:15 (with an early finish on Friday at 16:15).

On completion of the probationary period, you can request flexible working hours around the core hours of 09:30 14:00. Whilst we are willing to offer flexibility to all our team, we will need to ensure that business requirements are met throughout the working week.
