Job Description

Toolmaker / CNC Engineer – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading tooling manufacturer based in Huddersfield, who are looking for a Toolmaker / CNC Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Toolmaker / CNC Engineer will have either strong Tooling, bench, CNC or EDM skills.

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000

Benefits: days only – 4 days a week (39 hours) – flexible start and finish time / OT = time and a third

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Huddersfield

Job Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing, repairing, modifying and maintaining all existing production tooling
  • Operating all toolroom plant and machinery safely
  • To continually review working methods and make suggestions or improvements to tooling or processes
  • Ideally experience with manufacturing tooling, EDM programming, CNC Machining, Precision Engineering or strong bench skills
  • Log any completed tool maintenance and repair work using the systems and databases
  • Ensure correct marking and labelling of tools
  • React to break-downs and quality issues using diagnostic skills to identify and rectify problems quickly and effectively
  • To support continuous improvements in manufacturing processes, design and development of equipment, contributing to relevant activities
