Project Manager – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, who are a supplier of customised manufacturing solutions based in Shrewsbury, who are looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team. The successful Project Manager will have experience of Injection Moulding or high-volume manufacturing and be able to successfully manage small to large projects.

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

Responsibilities:

• The responsibilities will be to work collaboratively with other members of our small team to drive the continued development of some unique and bespoke manufacturing systems involving injection moulding, assembly, automation and associated tooling for a major project that we have been involved with for the last 2-4 years.
• Responsible for the effective planning, control and delivery for the projects you manage.
• Leading on the project management of New Product Introduction
• Working on existing projects that require further development as they mature.

About You:

• High level of hands-on experience of the injection moulding process and mould tooling (Not essential) – automation and assembly systems working knowledge would be extremely helpful.
• Preferably degree qualified in mechanical engineering, or polymer processing, or other related subjects
• Experience of working with customers to solve problems. Motivation and drive to see product through from customer requirement through to manufacture.
• Experience of managing projects with multifunctional teams.
• Strong personality with ability to build working relationships to drive and deliver results.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• At least 5-10 years’ experience within injection moulding, high volume manufacturing or similar
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS OR CAD (desirable)
