Travel -Ticketing & Documentation Executive based in Chester

Due to our continued growth we have a unique opportunity for an experienced Ticketing & Documentation Executive. To provide a seamless ticketing & airline support to all departments with focus on answering all air fare queries and finding efficient solutions to maximise our profit and minimise any potential risk.
To provide our clients with professional and personalised documentation ready for their trip.

As part of this role you will;

  • Support and coach sales team with all air fare queries for net, published and New Distribution Capability (NDC) fares
  • Ensure telephone enquiries are dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Accurately issue and exchange tickets in line with airline rules, including group bookings
  • Process refunds via Galileo & BSPlink
  • Run ticket deadline reports to ensure ticket deadlines are not missed
  • Manage ticketing Q’s in Galileo
  • Distribute airline reprotection policies to Sales team. When required, interpret and communicate these policies in line with best practice and procedure documents.
  • Produce client itineraries and documentation in line with company standards
  • Ensure all documents are created and sent out within SLA
  • Create apps for clients who request it
  • Assist with all testing projects and developments
  • Take immediate proactive steps to correct any mistakes or omissions made which expose any business to risk and could potentially reduce the profit generated to the business
  • Constantly look for ways to improve the systems and processes which enable tickets to be issued correctly and efficiently
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Keep informed of business changes that affect the ticketing area
  • Escalate IT issues or suggestions to the Ticketing Manager
  • Manage all GDS queues effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Updating & advising relevant parties of airline schedule changes and finding alternative flights when necessary.

Ideally you will have following skills and attributes;*

  • Have a strong ticketing background and knowledge of the industry
  • Have GDS experience Galileo ticket issue and exchange experience
  • Have GDS experience of Galileo & BSPlink refund experience
  • Has the knowledge of interpreting Airline Contracts and GDS ticket rules
  • Has excellent time management skills
  • Has a passion for delivering quality service for internal and external clients
  • Has strong communication and listening skills
  • Has the ability to prioritise, manage expectations and multitask
  • Has a sense of urgency when required has a positive attitude
  • Is adaptable to change
  • Has the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Has excellent attention to detail skills
  • Has excellent problem solving skills
  • Has the ability to understand and work with numbers
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
