Overview Of The Role
Your role as a Technical Training and Product Specialist for Electrification products at JCB will be to provide Technical Training, Field support and a Product Improvement focus to a key and strategically important part of JCB’s new product portfolio. This role additionally covers Technical Training for JCB Generators.
You Will
Scope of the Role:
- Have the primary responsibly for Technical Training content development and delivery
- Be the main point of contact for dealer enquiries in order to support the trouble shooting of machine technical concerns
- Ensure that emerging product concerns are effectively quantified, escalated and resolved to drive continuous product improvement.
- Engage with our product engineering teams to create training material for new machines and product technical updates, developing and updating course material and curriculum for delivery to groups of JCB and JCB Dealer Service staff using eLearning, remote and workshop delivery techniques.
- Work with our global training team to ensure they are equipped to train our global dealers whilst ensuring they are delivering learning in line with our standards.
- Support the Global Service Training Manager with training plans to ensure dealers are suitably trained to support our products.
- Support the JCB New Product Introduction Process on behalf of JCB Service to ensure new “electrification” products are introduced to the market to the required customer service and quality standards.
- Engage with key electrification technology partners to lead agreement on appropriate Service Level Agreements for a global distribution of products.
- Provide technical support to the dealer network for questions and support requirements that arise through the JCB Uptime centre in relation to Electrification systems on machines.
- Working with dealer technicians, the JCB Service Customer Quality and Uptime teams, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality, identify emerging service concerns affecting JCB customers and strive to resolve to full closure, potentially complex technical issues.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of failure and warranty information to measure product quality and reliability, leading monthly reviews and discussions with key departments within JCB.
- Recycle the knowledge gained through problem resolution and product quality enhancements, back into both training material and technical support literature to allow for a self-serving capability of the dealer network.
- You will have a strong technical background coupled with both excellent oral and written communication skills, including proven presentation and engagement skills.
- Experience of working with machinery that forms part of JCB’s wide range of products with a particular focus on electrical propulsion and electrical/electronic control system architectures.
- Exposure to and experience in working with machine schematics and drawings (Electrical, Software, Hydraulics and Parts/Assemblies).
- A genuine interest in training and effective knowledge transfer, coupled with a “No-Fault Forward” / “No Case Twice” mentality that closes the loop on all parts of the role.
- You will have an analytical and quality mind set and have a track record of dealing with complex and challenging problems that require a successful engagement with others to achieve a collaborative and timely resolution.
