About The Apprenticeship
Whether you’re joining us as a school leaver or someone looking for a career change, you’ll soon make an impact on our Group Purchasing department. Our experienced team are responsible for ensuring that cost, quality and risk are effectively managed; and that our suppliers have capacity and capability to reliably deliver our needs today and in the future.
You will have the opportunity to experience both the operational and strategic elements of Purchasing’s wide remit. Successful applicants will be allocated within one of our Business Unit teams, or centrally based to support on a Global basis. There will also be the opportunity to be considered for a placement within our Supplier Development team.
You’ll do a real job with real business-critical outcomes, all the while working toward an Level 3 apprenticeship qualification, which is recognised across the Purchasing sector. Where a university graduate will have to prove themselves once they start a career, you’ll already have already developed essential professional skills by the time you qualify. And with a company that’s famous all over the world.
Training takes place with one of our dedicated training providers, so you’ll have dedicated academic support to ensure you make the very most of your development. And, once you qualify, you’ll have real business experience, exposure to how a challenging Purchasing function works, and knowledge of the day-to-day workings of how the department contributes to overall business objectives.
Where you go from there is up to you. One thing is for certain – you’ll have no shortage of possibilities within our business.
About You
You’ll bring dedication, passion and a real desire to succeed. Possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a high performing team, you’ll also be confident working autonomously and will be driven to get results. Working within a fast paced environment means you need to relish a challenge and have a can do attitude,
We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with multiple IT packages, with high attention to detail and who is highly organised. Professional, ambitious, motivated and adaptable to all kinds of new situations, you’ll be able to demonstrate a high level of resilience, and be ready to take accountability for your own actions.
