Team Manager

As a Team Manager working for Gray Healthcare you will primarily perform a front-line management role for a team of up to 20 people, you will effectively support the team to deliver compassionate, consistent and person-centred care alongside a young gentleman living in his own home, learning to live independently. You will guide his team in enabling her to seek new opportunities and experience enhanced quality of life.

The successful candidate will be providing direct management flexibly over a 24-hour period and providing quality assurance and full rota management ensuring safe, responsive and effective working practice. There is a requirement to work as part of his team and you may need to cover shifts at times to ensure that the young gentleman receives the prescribed levels of support.

You will lead and role model for his team, oversee the rota, assist with the development of recovery plans, ensure that the PBS model is embedded within the service in line with the young gentleman’s strengths and needs and report on progress, risks, challenges and successes to both internal and external MDTs.


About you

We are currently recruiting a fun, bubbly, dynamic and motivated individual to be Team Manager and are particularly interested in candidates who have significant experience leading within Learning Disabilities, Autism and a working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care. You will need to be a natural leader with great communication skills, possess an NVQ/QCF 3 in Health and Social Care and Leadership and Management QCF/NVQ 5 (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this.

You must have a working knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support Model (qualifications would be advantageous but not essential), be experienced in taking positive risks to enable an increased level of independence and be solution focussed when presented with challenging situations.

Gray Healthcare is looking for creative thinkers who are able to work collaboratively with internal and external MDTs to provide meaningful and valuable activity within the young lady’s daily routine using Active Support, focussed support strategies and skill building.

It would also be advantageous to have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car in order to provide flexible support to her and her team at short notice.
