Permanent Teaching Assistant Required for a Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham

I am currently supporting a Secondary School in the Barking area who are seeking a number of Teaching Assistants to join their School in September due to their ongoing expansion.

This is a mainstream secondary school that caters for pupils ages 11-19. Many of their students are vulnerable children from the local community so the school are looking for kind, patient and understanding Teaching Assistants.

The school are open to hearing from recent Graduates who are looking for a career in education. Ideally, you would have some experience working or volunteering with young people in some capacity.

You will be required to complete all day-to-day classroom activities and maintain continuous routines for pupils. In addition, you will be helping children hit their daily targets and even longer projects such as their short and long-term goals.

The Position:

  • Permanent vacancy
  • Students with: Dyslexia, Autism, Learning Difficulties, SEMH, Trauma and Anxiety.
  • Students with CAMHS and ECHPs
  • 8:30am – 16:00pm – Monday through to Friday
  • September start

Applicant Requirements:

  • Ideally have experience working with children in a school setting or SEMH/Trauma/Autism/Therapy-related work
  • Ideally hold a 2:1 degree or higher
  • Must have a creative and positive mindset and want to make an impact in pupils educational and personal development

Pay:

  • £26,599 per annum
  • Employed directly by the school
