Job Description
Teaching Assistant required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children who have additional learning needs. This excellent Special Educational Needs school is looking to add an experienced Teaching Assistant to the team to work with children who have a range of complex learning needs, including Autism. This school has outstanding facilities and you will be joining a dynamic and caring team of Teaching Assistants, who help children to get the most out of each day. Teachers are understanding of individual’s needs, and work closely with the Teaching Assistants to ensure that children’s needs are met.
As a Teaching Assistant you will primarily be working on a 1-2-1- basis, ensuring that school is a nurturing and stimulating environment for the pupil that you support. The school has an outstanding reputation for supporting children with additional needs. Leadership are friendly and supportive. As a Teaching Assistant at this school you will feel like part of the family from day one. This role requires experience working with special educational needs, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Role:
Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS1children with additional needs
Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
Outstanding support form an established team of Teaching Assistants
Access to ongoing training and CPD
Working with an outstanding SEND Teacher
