WHAT TO EXPECT

You will be working as a Senior CAD Engineer working on Interior Trims within our Bespoke SVO department. The team is ever growing and is heading towards the 20 person mark and you could be the newest part of it. You will be apart of the interior trims team where you will be using Catia V5/V6. You will be encouraged and giving the freedom to come up with no ideas to help improve the interiors on all new SVO vehicles where your creative juices can run wild. You will work with multiple teams and suppliers to bring these ideas to life.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently working as Senior CAD Engineer, Design Engineer or if you have strong CAD and Interior trims experience.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Responsible for concept development and problem resolution with both Core and Programme teams, with the use of virtual engineering tools
  
• Deliver vehicle programme geometry as required
  
• Provide support and mentoring to Computer Aided Design Engineers and non-Computer Aided Designer Engineers in defining the information required to produce robust models and system / sub-system solutions
  
• Manage the creation Associative Vehicle Architecture models and development of appropriate standards

WHAT YOU-LL NEED

Essential:

• Significant experience CATIA V5 / V6 automotive design and release
  
• Experience of delivering JLR Engineering Programmes to PCDS Virtual Gateways
  
• Previous proven Interior Trim / Seating design experience
  
• Knowledge of whole vehicle architecture, systems and commodities
  
• Working knowledge of 3D Checks for design verification process
