CREATIVE SUPPORT

Do you like a challenge? If so we are looking for Support Workers who are confident, outgoing, fun and resilient to join our Lunedale Road supported living team. The service users at Lunedale Road are looking for support staff who can cook, enjoy arts and crafts and who don’t mind being outdoors whatever the weather! The service users require staff who are able to adapt quickly and think on their feet to provide person-centred support.

The service users at Lunedale Road have a learning disability; mental health needs; Autism and/or some behaviour that challenge, experience is advantageous but not essential. The Service is provided in 3 bungalows to 5 adults aged between 18 and 72 years of age on a 1-1 basis; 3 clients require 2-1 support when out in the community.

A clean manual driving licence is essential alongside a willingness to drive service users’ cars.

You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the confidence to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to develop as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.

This post is to cover a 24hr rota pattern, which may include waking night support, as part of a friendly, motivated team.
