- You will manage the end-to-end process of all stock making sure all problems or issues are dealt with and resolved, ensuring the business has a steady flow of stock.
- Manage the stock from China to the UK and their 3PL partners in EU and US, taking ownership of the journey, making sure everything has arrived on time
- Liaising with carriers and hauliers to manage the process with minimal problems
- Optimising stock levels to ensure forecast demand is met and overstocking is avoided
- Counting and tracking inventory across multiple locations.
- Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions. Coordinate regular inventory auditsWorking to deadlines, dealing with stock that is stuck or has been lostHelp create new processes and assist the SCM in improving the overall supply chain performance, looking for any possible innovations and improvements to the process.

The Company
An ecommerce business in West Yorkshire that are growing at an incredible speed and have created an additional Supply Chain Assistant role to help them through a period of change and assist with the day-to-day tasks as they focus on switching over to a new ERP system. This is a great opportunity to get to work very closely with the SCM and experience a bit of everything within the busy Operations and Supply Chain of an international Ecommerce retailer. This company can offer a mix of home and office working and they also have a flexible approach to working hours. The team is outgoing, everyone mucks in, the opposite of corporate, and are incredibly lovely. Their offices are commutable from Burnley, Blackburn, Bradford, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Leeds, North Manchester, Preston, Rochdale.
THE ROLE
About You
Some experience in Supply Chain as a Supply Chain Co-ordinator, Stock Controller, Demand Planner Assistant, Supply Chain Assistant, Import Merchandiser or similar either gained in full-time employment or through internships / university placements.Experience with international logistics, import and export operationsUnderstanding and previous experience of e-commerce and related supply chain operationsAnalytical, strong numerical skills, good attention to detailComfortable in a small, fast moving business and getting hands dirtyDesirable - experience with FBA Amazon and Vendor Central AmazonDesirable - previous experience with ERP, CRM, WMS, TMS and/or related systems
THE REWARD
This role is offered as a 6-month contract and is an opportunity to work closely with a SCM who has your development in mind and is keen to help you grow in your skills while you are with them, and should the business continue to perform well, it is likely the position will go permanent. This company can offer a mix of home and office working and they also have a flexible approach to working hours, private medical and other benefits. The team are lovely and work in a casual, relaxed office in West Yorkshire.
