Retail Development Executive

North London

£30,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working

I am recruiting for a Retail Development Executive to join an established retailer based within their head office in North London. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the regional distribution companies’ tech innovations. You will be the initial contact point and managing the relationship and investigating opportunities to grow each supplier. Support the distribution centres with any retail technology daily queries / activities and find resolution.

You will also be responsible for

  • Manage the relationship with the retail technology suppliers for central office.
  • Utilise the International network to identify and source suppliers for technologies which will be relevant for each division.
  • Assist the Retail Proposition Controller with the negotiations of national agreements with suppliers.
  • Work closely with the DCs to develop trials and feedback to the overall divisional network managers on the success of those trials.
  • Continuously review, track and analyse the market both in terms of trends and competitor activity.
  • Identify opportunities for seamless integration of new and existing processes across teams / functions, influence others to identify more efficient streamlined processes.
  • Organise own workload and deliver work in a logical, sequenced way, using time effectively and efficiently.

Key requirements for the role;

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise / influence effectively at all levels is essential.
  • Ability to manage & organise a varier workload.
  • Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market.
  • Good level of education, degree is essential.

  • Good working knowledge of technology and the ability to manage conflicting projects / deadlines.
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel
