£11.62 per hour + £1.79 per hour knife hand bonus

Location – Grimsby DN37 9TG

Immediate start

Trimming experience needed

6am- 2pm shift Monday to Friday

Full time hours only

Mach Recruitment is recruiting for experienced trimmers and de-luggers to work in a large food production site in Grimsby.

The Role

To Trim/ De-lug whitefish Primarily cod and haddock after Entering/Exiting the Curio Filleting machine to then be placed onto the line to go onto the next process, keeping focus on Quality and Yields and notifying Team leader of any defects or issues.

You will be working within a food production environment and your duties will be as followed:

  • To ensure that the product is handled correctly and efficiently
  • To ensure the product is presented correctly onto the belts and ensuring the visual standard of the product.
  • To ensure that the targets for the line are met, keeping at required levels to aid the smooth running of the line
  • To ensure levels and specifications of trim levels and yield targets are met and kept to acceptable levels with KQI and KPI parameters
  • To ensure full conformance to all safety rules and if operating any machinery, you are signed off to the relevant SSOW, ensuring the safe working environment is always maintained.
  • To ensure work area is always kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that all materials and all practices comply with the Health and Safety and any subsequent legislation
  • Always Maintaining a safe working environment ensuring the safety and hygiene standards of others on the line.
  • Maintain a safe workplace / environment in line with statutory regulations, company policy and rules.
  • Waste to be kept to a minimum on raw materials and packaging.
  • Timely communication of safety issues to the Red Hat/Production Manager
  • Maintain safe systems of working with Health & Safety Advisor/Health & Safety Representative.
  • Communicate with and act upon instruction from, Red Hat, Production Manager, Health & Safety

About You

As a Trimmer/De-lugger you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Start immediately and are looking for long term work,
  • Previous experience trimming white fish,
  • Able to work 8 hours per shift, Monday to Friday
  • You will be able to travel to Grimsby,
