What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for management of supplier order books, the monitoring and maintenance of supplier performance and improving supplier performance where necessary. Using system reports and feedback from customers to expedite material with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Monitor key indicators of operational performance and act where appropriate.
  • Respond to requests for information from customers supporting customer centric initiatives when required.
  • Manage supplier order book and monitor supplier performance.
  • Conduct regular supplier reviews on the supplier’s site and at the plant. Support & lead improvement initiatives.
  • Utilise system reports and customer feedback to recognise the need to expedite delivery of inventory and subcontract work in progress to meet customers’ needs..
  • Expedites delivery of inventory and subcontract work in progress through suppliers and internal work centres.
  • Initiates required documentation and/or system transactions to allocate, purchase, or reschedule material as required and monitors timely placement of purchase orders placed by the Shared Service Centre.
  • Manage supplier returns from initial rejection through to replacement of parts.
  • Respond to requests for information from customers, both internal and external, supporting and attending customer centric meetings as required.
  • Analyzes and manages inventory levels in relation to customer requirements to meet profit and inventory targets and goals.
  • Process requisitions for MRO spend including ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
  • Supports cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Maintain data integrity to meet relevant targets.
  • Understand and comply with regulatory requirements with particular regard to ITAR and AS9100.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience to manufacturing/production environments

Skills:

Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
