Eaton’s EPG CHD HAC Hazardous Area Communications division is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer.

What you’ll do:

Position Description
  • To provide support within the Engineering Department at the Sutton site.
  • Apply technical competence to the implementation of New Product Development (NPD) projects, Engineer to Order (ETO) projects, Value Analysis/ Value Engineering (VAVE) projects and sustaining legacy products.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate and participate with the project teams to ensure high team performance.
  • To be able to demonstrate both independent and collaborative working.
  • Demonstration of ownership and management of assigned tasks.
  • To provide accurate estimates of task durations and to report progress against agreed schedules. To ensure self-development under the guidance of the Engineering Manager or Senior Engineers. To ensure that information or data required is produced to the levels defined within Eaton’s quality systems.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience in electronics industry.


Skills:

  • Effective communication, including writing and reporting across a range of stakeholders.
To be a proficient user of electrical CAD tools ERP system and PDM/Document Management. Understands high and low volume product development
Technical Knowledge
  • To be a proficient user of company tools which include Enovia, Microsoft Office, SAP, Electrical design software
  • To be proficient within the following Electrical engineering key design disciplines:
o Electrical Circuit testing
o PCB manufacture
o Wiring/Circuit diagrams
o Part/ product finishing methods for both high & low volume manufacture
o Electrical component functions
o Experience of ATEX/UL certification
o Experience in working to International design standards
