You will support the team by proactively reviewing all Groupwide projects and help guide the teams through the Technical Review and Gate Process from project concept to delivery.A knowledge of the NPIP process and/or existing Structures process and tools would be advantageous. But they are not essential. More important is your enthusiasm, commitment, and ability to pull together the technical knowledge that exists within the business to make the right decisions.The candidate will advise the Chief Engineer – Structures and Simulation on the readiness for each Gate and ultimately Engineering Sign-Off.You will act early to prevent projects going off-process and be equally capable of creatively using the existing skills and knowledge within the team to help keep projects on-track.Responsibilities
  • Ensure Technical Reviews are booked at an appropriate time.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are involved in the discussions.
  • Assist in helping to assess the structural risk.
  • Liaise with the local Subject Matter Experts to capture their views on the risks and associated validation plan.
  • Ensure all meetings and actions are documented.
  • Ensure there is credible timing to the plan.
  • Advise the Group Structures Manager on project status and flag up any projects which are off plan or veering off-process.
  • Maintain internal process to ensure it stays as the best TR process in the company.

  • Knowledge of Off-Highway Construction Equipment, applications and uses.
  • Detailed structural knowledge of a wide range of vehicles is ideal but not essential.
  • Knowledge of some of the following is advantageous but not essential (Structures design, NPIP process, FEA, Strain Gauging, Rig Testing)
