Working Hours:38 hours per week (8.30 -17.00 Monday to Thursday & 8.30 – 16.00 Friday)

About the Role

You will be part of a supportive team, led by Engineering Manager working with colleagues who will help you settle in, find your way around and show you the ropes.

As Stores Controller your main tasks and duties will be:

• Obtaining quotes and raising purchase orders in line with Refresco financial control processes.
• Administration and upkeep of the Stock Control System (SAP PM).
• Implementing a system of weekly checks to count all the stock twice per year and additionally complete a full count immediately before the annual stock check.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with all our key suppliers in support of increased consignment stock, preferential rates, reduced lead times and other value add services.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy store ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation (COSHH, WAH, LOLER etc.) and implementation of 5S principles.
• Compliance to group processes (MRO, Vendor approval, Financial approval etc.) and the development of local processes (out of hours booking out etc.).
• Working with embedded MRO supplier to ensure that contracted benefits are delivered, and best value is obtained from relationship

About You

You are going to be part of the Refresco team at Refresco, Nelson, so it’s important you work and communicate well with your colleagues, support them when needed, take time to understand what they do, and learn how we all contribute to achieving our goals. For the role of Stores Controller, you will need broad understanding of engineering principles and generic components and their alternatives, good understanding of national and local suppliers across a range of engineering spends categories (OEM, MRO, Motors, Pumps, Control and automation, pneumatics etc.) a nd thorough knowledge of business processes and systems with regard to financial controls and the CRF processes. You will need g ood IT Skills, both Generic (MS Office) and SAP Specific (SAP Super User) , excellent attention to details and time management skills and ability to work flexibly within the needs of the business.
