Our customers are central to everything we do and we work hard to support them to turn challenges into opportunities which make our customers’ property ambitions a reality.We’re looking for great people from all backgrounds and experiences who love working together and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.Job DescriptionAs a Statutory Reporting Accountant, you will report directly into the Head of Financial Reporting and Control to support with external reporting. You will also be working closely with the wider financial team supporting the production of the Group annual report and accounts, quarterly interim reporting and subsidiary statutory accounts. Provide technical support for accounting and reporting matters and with the monthly financial close and internal reporting processes.As a Statutory Reporting Accountant, we are looking for someone to:
  • Support with the preparation of the production of annual and interim consolidated accounts and annual subsidiary accounts
  • Assist with the drafting of reports to investors, which contain financial reporting information
  • Plan and co-ordinate with a range of stakeholders, including those areas which input into the process, to more senior stakeholders in a review capacity
  • Co-ordinate information, requests and timescales with the external auditors
  • Respond to, analyse and resolve queries on the financial information, including account reconciling items, to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately
  • Understand significant balances/variances/transactions
QualificationsEssential
  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification or other relevant qualification
  • Technical accounting experience
  • Experience of reporting writing
  • Planning and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting rule
Desirable
  • Previous Financial Services experience would be ideal, but not essential
