An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding team of cancer pharmacists at BHT.

In the heart of Buckinghamshire countryside the Trust is located conveniently close to London, Oxford and the Chilterns area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The position holder will be trained in the therapeutics and delivery of medicines management services to cancer patients on the Wycombe Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital day treatment units, haematology inpatients including bone marrow transplantation, palliative care, intrathecal chemotherapy, technical services, clinical trials, and will participate in in-house and regional cancer training provision. There will be opportunities to gain a postgraduate qualification in independent prescribing to support the prescribing pharmacist and enrol onto a post-graduate MSc in Oncology and Palliative Care. The position holder will gain wide organisation experience through working with the multi-disciplinary team and pharmacy teams to delivery clinical cancer services to cancer wards and clinics. This is a permanent position at BHT and you will participate in our dynamic training programme to prepare you for your Band 8a post.

The post holder will work in the cancer directorate and technical services area of the pharmacy service. This is a training post that assists in providing a clinical service to the oncology and haematology ward and cancer day units.
