The Buckinghamshire Integrated Respiratory Service (BIRS) is looking to recruit an experienced respiratory specialist nurse/physiotherapist/paramedic to join our team as part of an exciting project to develop and enhance respiratory care in Buckinghamshire’s primary, community and secondary care settings over the coming 7 months.

The successful candidate will be able to provide specialist care to patients in the community settings across Buckinghamshire, improving patient outcomes across a number of current pathways: Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Home Oxygen Assessment & Review, Supported discharge and admission avoidance services, and in primary care working to develop new MDT clinics.

The services provided are integrated with the respiratory wards based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and provide respiratory expertise and support to health care professionals and patients requiring home oxygen and a respiratory supported discharge. The Project will see the development a consultant led in-reach service into the A and E departments supported by BIRS as part of an admission avoidance service

You will be required to travel between sites and as such require a full driving licence and be flexible in terms of what locations you can reach.
