This is a senior role within the organisation and business critical. The role can be based anywhere in the UK with plenty of domestic travel and some international for time to time.

The Solution Sales Manager will:

  • Develop opportunities primarily in the Energy transition and Oil and Gas sectors and agree short and long term goals
  • Actively hunt new solution / project opportunities (Electrical, Automation, Telecoms, service and consulting)
  • Take ownership in providing the relevant information for opportunity screening
  • Lead capture / pursuit teams, develop pursuit plans and sales strategies (Key players, Challenges, schedule, positioning)
  • Maximise scope through early engagement with the client
  • Understand the customers challenges and critical issues both on the existing installed base and new projects and with support, develop a value map / value proposition to map and scope against the customers challenges
  • Take full responsibility for the orders, accurate budgets and forecasts
  • Foster strong relationships with key decision makers (End Users, Consultants and Contractors)
  • Understand competitors operating in the sector, including their respective delivery models
  • Takes ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution. Responsible for analysing lost proposals to increase future competitiveness.
  • Working with the team determine the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions

The Successful Applicant

The Solution Sales Manager will be:

  • A ’Hunter’ and results orientated
  • Proven track record in working in senior ’projects’ sales roles over an extended period
  • A proven track record in energy transition / renewables sector (knowledge of the hydrogen sector would be very desirable)
  • A high level of understanding of the relevant markets
  • Strong networks within relevant industry sector
  • Good knowledge of a wide range of technology and solutions
