This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Software Development Manager to lead their IT function, developing your own team and implementing improvements across the companies.

Key Responsibilities of the Software Development Manager:

• Liaise with management to identify and prioritise requirements
• To plan, design, develop and implement internal systems by liaising with other teams to schedule and implement project work across a broad range of applications
• Produce project plans, costs and timescale estimates and report on progress
• To provide support for existing systems and to monitor and deliver daily operational requirements
• Flexibility and ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities
• Manage a team of 15
• Set technical standards and lead on security considerations.
• Where appropriate liaise with external support partners to define and implement effective solutions to meet the needs of the business

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven working experience in software development and leadership of a team
• Results oriented and driven
• Demonstrable experience with a range of office systems, application design and integration.
• Ability to design strategy along with leadership skills
• Excellent project management, co-ordination and scheduling skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• Programming languages and frameworks such as vb.net, C#, .Net framework, MVC, Java script
• Knowledge of software services and interfaces (API’s, webhooks, SOAP, RAP)
• Database architecture and best practice including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Full cycle development and Agile methodology
